VELUX awarded Platinum EcoVadis rating
Published: 11th June, 2025

Improvements across all EcoVadis themes

In 2025, VELUX achieved Platinum status in the annual EcoVadis sustainability assessment – a significant milestone that marks our progress from a Gold rating in 2024. With a score of 86 out of 100, up from 78 last year, we are now placed in the top 1% of more than 150,000 rated companies worldwide.

This recognition reflects our continuous efforts to integrate sustainability deeply across our business – from environmental performance to ethical governance and responsible sourcing. EcoVadis evaluates companies across four key themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement, considering both the strength of policies and the quality of their implementation.

Our improved performance this year is the result of steady progress across all four themes, including:

  • A 96/100 Environment score, supported by our first-time disclosure to CDP;
  • Enhanced documentation and transparency throughout our operations; and
  • Stronger evidence of procedures and practices company-wide.

While no single project drove this change, the Platinum rating is a testament to the collective and sustained work across our teams. It not only strengthens our position as a sustainability leader in our industry but also helps build trust with partners and customers who rely on EcoVadis to assess performance and manage risk in their value chains.

In the Albertine Rift in Uganda, where we have financed the first forest project developed and delivered by WWF, local communities are an important part of the regeneration of the forest. Their involvement is vital for reversing forest and biodiversity loss and addressing climate issues.
WWF FOREST PROJECT
Protecting and restoring the world’s forests
